"BLACK DIAMOND" Danish Dance Theatre (Dance Festival ‘New Baltic Dance') *****

Dance show by Danish Dance Theatre participated in International Contemporary Dance Festival ‘New Baltic Dance' (Naujasis Baltijos šokis) in Vilnius.
It was piece of amazing choreography (by Tim Rushton). Very, very impressive piece of art, perfect in almost every detail starting from the title which couldn't fit better. Very dark show, I don't know if I have ever seen in the theatre show with so little and so much light at the same time, but it was interesting and the lights were used in a great way... During half of the show I was wondering what was that shiny, magic rain made of that it was not disturbing dancers;)...
The original costiumes made great dance even more amazing not only on visual level but on the sound one too... The music and the moves of the  dancers were conected with huge imagination. Group forms when there were many dancers on the stage were really complicated and impressive. Here is the only minus of the show, in few scens the dancers were not well synchronized but nothing is perfect;).

So, it was very very impressive piece of dance but at the same time very heavy spectacle. Talking on visual level but not emotional - at least that is my impression;). You can have a look at the trailer HERE
